Axiom Strategies Announces Hiring of New Associate: Furey Joins Premier Political Consulting Shop
Axiom Strategies founder and President Jeff Roe announced today that Shawn Furey has joined the firm. Furey, most recently the Chief of Staff to State Senator Eric Schmitt (R-St. Louis), has joined Axiom as an associate who will focus primarily on Axiom’s Missouri campaigns.
“I am excited about the opportunity to be a part of Axiom’s team,” said Furey. “Jeff Roe has a reputation for executing aggressive and disciplined campaign strategies, and I look forward to working within the Axiom system.”
Over the last three years Furey has worked with both Senator Schmitt and the Senate Majority Fund, helping to organize a quality grassroots network in the St. Louis region. Furey also served as the campaign manager for State Senator John Lamping (R-St. Louis) in Lamping’s upset victory over Barbara Fraser in 2010. In his time with Senate Majority Fund, Furey developed a reputation for building broad campaign coalitions and implementing detailed grassroots tactics for Republican campaigns.
“Shawn has a record of success built on his professionalism and his focused approach toward getting things done,” said Jeff Roe. “For anyone that has worked with him they know he is thorough, prepared, and he sees the bigger picture while focusing on every significant detail. Shawn is an experienced grassroots campaigner with a history of success in Missouri. I am excited to have him join our Axiom team, and I believe he will be a major asset to our Missouri clients.”
